Light the Way is a 10″x12″ abstract mosaic that I created with hand cut Italian Smalti and smashed and split 100+ year old roof slate. I also used special tinted thin set morter to complete the piece. I have also included a beautiful piece of stained glass that set the entire theme for the piece. I completed this project in April 2023. I have been exploring abstract mosaics this last winter and find them so freeing! There are no rules, only that you go with what speaks to you at the time.
